Hi,
One bearing allen screw was actually missing when I purchased my type 1. I had to get a couple of replacements from Allan so good idea to threadlock.

A lot of guys in North America run the Pingle equivalent on their Harleys with good results. They basically yank on the gear selector links replicating foot or in our case hand movement. 2 buttons on the handle bars. Has anybody converted from cable to hydraulic? I see slave cylinders for Moto Guzzis are available from various vendors (MG Cycle in the US for example, but they probably get from Stien Dinze {spelling}). Thinking a 5/8" bore master should work ok and these are available to match original type one b...
