I set mine so the midpoint of the lever throw arc comes at 90° to the pushrod.

Re: Springalex steering wheel

My Type1 which used to have a Springalex (or is it a Springall? I forget) has always had a dash-mounted button since build in ’86. It’s awkward to get to and functionally useless. I'm doing the Shuttleworth event on that day so will unfortunately miss this.

The beautifully refurbed Squeaker has been re-homed only fourteen miles from brother Greg with Bob from Churchstowe Devon.
I'm actually quite sad to see Squeaker move out of the area, Richard!

Sounds a great run, Tony. I've not been to the T&K for a looong time.

I'll try my hardest to get to it (workload dependent) will confirm later. Just checked the long-range weather forecast, it's looking like it may be good that week.

Re: Folding cover for Triking

Not sure where you are in Beds, but just over the border in Rushden are Cover Systems. They do readymade and bespoke covers which although of a lighter material than I was expecting, work well and are durable. I think they also offer a pram hood type cover for larger bikes which may fit a Triking (a...

Re: Stuck Engine Mounting Bolt

Have done this a couple of times on old Guzzis. It's a horrible job. Heat is your friend, as described before - do not start thwacking the bar, it doesn't end well. This is a common problem on old Guzzis, part of my maintenance schedule is to remove, clean lug holes and bar, polish and refit with pl...
