Re: Windscreen washers

Hi Rob You'll need washers for the MOT. I've done mine with an electric pump and long hose to a nozzle on the bonnet. The long hose enables you to lift the bonnet up and detach the hose from the nozzle - it's a plastic hose so easily pushed on and off. I set mine some distance along the bonnet as I ...

Re: Modified clutch pedal

It would be interesting to see the modification Tony - I couldn't find it on an admittedly quick search of the forum. I think your username has a crucial letter missing in the original post...

Re: Triking National RALLY 2022

Just to echo the comments made - Clare and I really enjoyed the meet as well. I've been to the Peaks lots of times over the years climbing (hence my user name) but hadn't really appreciated the landscapes to such an extent as I did last week. As a bonus there is the opportunity to get a picture of y...

Re: A-FRAME Goes Legal

The forthcoming Peak District meet prompted me to get round to building a braked A frame for the Triking. It uses a Knott coupling rated at 750KG, more than enough for the Triking. I had some 60 x 60 x 6 angle iron pieces from long ago and used those for the main sections, there's no doubt they'll b...

Re: Registering a Trking for First Time - Insurance requirements

You insure it against the chassis number initially and send the certificate off with the application forms. Once the DVLA issue the reg number then the insurance company can change the certificate accordingly, I advised mine this would need to happen when I took out insurance and got them to state w...

Re: Vehicle stalling

A fault like this can be a swine to find and fix so you have my sympathy! Some ideas that I didn't see mentioned but you might have tried... When the engine dies I'm assuming it won't restart, hence the tow truck? Next time it happens turn on the ignition and listen, does the fuel pump run for a few...

Re: First MOT after MSVA ?

Following my earlier posts I contacted the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) - previously known as VOSA - who confirmed that my Triking didn't need an MOT until 3 years after the new registration date, which in my case was 01/01/2021. They advised I should contact the DVLA but when I put th...
