Re: 2020 Annual Meetup

I’ve contacted the hotel and they said that if we re-schedule the event, those that attend will not loose their deposits. Unfortunately, they cannot return any deposits so If you cannot attend the re-scheduled event, (or some other date of your own choosing,) then you will loose it. It is best to co...

Re: 2020 Annual Meetup

It's with a heavy heart that I have decided that we postpone this year's meet up in Buxton because of the risks involved with corona virus and propose that we hold the event next year in May. Those of us are who are over 70 are facing the prospect of non attendance due to 4 months self isolation and...

Re: 2020 Annual Meetup

I’m back in Blighty and intend to concentrate on the Buxton meet-up for a while. I will publish routes, and destination for morning and afternoon runs on the Wednesday and Thursday. I do not intend these to be long drives (60 -90 mins with a tea stop), as most people will have driven a long way to g...

Re: 2020 Annual Meetup

As organiser, I don’t have any objections, particularly as you are a Triking owner. There’s already one Guzzi powered JZR joining us, I think we will need to have two group photos, One of The a Trikings plus one of the Trikings plus the copies of replicas of fakes!

Rear Mudguard Mounting

Mounting a Rear Mudguard. There are two options for mounting a rear mudguard : Fixed to the chassis or fixed to the swinging arm. I decided to go with the second option, as having the mudguard close to the tyre, would improve it’s chances of containing spray. A double wheeled trailer mudguard was pu...

Re: 2020 Annual Meetup

Great news Buxton and the Peak District has a lot to offer, great roads, stunning scenery and interesting destinations. Book now while we still have rooms at the Lee wood Hotel. We went out in the Triking today with the temperature at 9 degrees C and with brilliant sunshine, Yasuko and I totally enj...

Re: 2020 Annual Meetup

OK, it's seems like we have a quorum for Thursday so will organise something.
I'm just about to go away to somewhere warm for winter, so will start planning the finer details in due course. In the words of Sergent Pepper " A splendid time is guaranteed for all"
I'll keep everybody informed.

Re: 2020 Annual Meetup 26th-28th May

I've arranged a mid week booking for 22 rooms at the Best Western, Lee Wood Hotel, Buxton in the Peak District, for the 2020 Annual Meet-Up, on 26-28th May. We will have the sole use of the function room on Tuesday and Wednesday evening and parking should not be a problem. The price quoted is £165 f...

Re: 2020 Annual Meetup

I'm off to look at hotels tomorrow, will try and avoid avoid the Bank Holiday weekend.
Buxton Town Centre, The Pavillion Gardens and Poole Caverne are all close by so wet weather possibilities exist. Would be eternally grateful to hear of your ideas, thoughts, suggestions and past successes.
