broke clutch cable

Clutch cable pulled out of nipple at pedal some 50 miles from home. Managed to drive it to within 2 blocks from home, but could not time it for last set of traffic lights. Drives and shifts OK without clutch but once stopped your done. Easy but fiddly job when car is on lift, but no way I could have...

Re: carb upgrade

Running PHF on Triking (85) VHB on Convert (76).
no issues with either.
My settings would probably would not work for you as Calgary is at 3500 feet.

Main 125
idle 50
needle K2 top notch on Triking middle on Convert.

Guzziology recommendations for moderate altitude.

Re: Reverse gear options USA

That's interesting as it takes no account of suspension movement being frame mounted, but in hindsight probably is not that big of an issue. It looks as if just a gear is driving the tire whereas a wider "wheel" would provide more friction. There is space above the rear wheel on a Triking with minor...

Re: Reverse gear options USA

I thought long and hard over this. Looked at a guys JZR reverse up here in Calgary, but the JZR has a round tube backbone which allows direct gear to gear clearance for a starter motor meshing with a gear welded via a hub to the drive shaft. With the Triking transmission tunnel there is not the clea...

Re: Black road dust

One alternative is to change the brake pad material. I think Allan has some different grades, but may affect braking. If you have a Convert parking brake they are rare and I do not think any pads are available. You can adjust the Convert brake by operating on allen screws in centre of pads/piston bu...

Re: Black road dust

Hi, Same issue with my type1. I have Alans car rim on a Guzzi hub and it gets totally covered with black dust. I am sure it is from the brake pads probably more from the Guzzi Convert parking brake than the main pads. The parking brake needs to be just off rubbing for it to work. The black dust does...
