Re: 29th German Threewheeler Meeting, 2-5.09.2022

I understand from Rob, one of the organisers, that there are now 17 tricycles booked onto this meet and they're getting close to the maximum number of attendees. So, if you're planning to go best to book asap rather than miss out. Should be a good meet with excellent driving and socialising...

Re: New Years Day Run 2022 in Hunts.

It looked a good run Tony, my Triking is currently SORN whilst I argue with VOSA/DVLA about whether or not it needs an MOT after the first year. With hindsight the MOT renewal date would be better in the spring/summer than the middle of winter..!

Re: First MOT after MSVA ?

Hi Richard, mine shows as registered on 01/01/2021 though I submitted enough proof of content from the donor to get an age related registration number. I did in fact purchase a personalised number plate which they issued at the time of registration but I don't think that alters anything... I guess i...

First MOT after MSVA ?

It's been a year since I first registered my Triking after the MSVA and the DVLA inform me that it requires an MOT before it can be retaxed. I was under the impression that it's not required until 3 years after first registration. Does anyone know for sure whether the 3 year exemption should apply o...

Re: 2022 Calendar

Terrific job on the calendar Tony ! It's great to see Trikings from around the world in their local settings..

Thanks for all your efforts in putting it together.

Best day to drive a Triking?

The answer of course is every day but.... Took the Triking out on a 25 mile run today on quiet Norfolk roads with a mix of tight/open corners, long straights, mostly smooth road surfaces and perfect gear changes (yes - it makes a change!). Best of all though, it was a crisp Autumn day with bright su...

Re: Donor bike V5 and reg number

It seems best to keep the frame and V5 from the donor until the Triking has passed the MSVA and is registered. The frame can then have the number ground off before you sell it though my experience was that no-one is really interested in buying a secondhand frame - in the end I got rid of it with a b...

Re: Dolly Towing

I found this on the Barlow trailers website... A-frames and dollies If you attach an A-frame to a car in order to tow it with a larger vehicle, the car plus the A-frame counts as a trailer. If you use a dolly to tow a broken-down vehicle, the dolly counts as a trailer. In both cases, the usual safet...
