Re: Bevel Box

No worries I think Eric. Mine has looked much the same since assembly 35,000 km ago.

Re: Flooding/starving carb?

I have very similar symptoms on type 3 with PHF36s. Smaller float needles helped a bit - as did lowering the pressure from the fuel pump by running a return to the tank downstream from the pump. I also run the anti-surge washers - although I think they are to guard against leanness rather than copin...

Re: Removing rear wheel

Exactly Eric. In my case I had to make a new spacer 0.7mm longer - I suspect that most of the time the spacer from the guzzi wheel would be fine as is.

Re: Removing rear wheel

Hi Eric All will become clear when you remove the keeper held with an Allen bolt and prise out the large circlip which retains the plate/splines in the hub. You will see the cush rubbers for re-use in the Triking hub. The spacer runs between the inner races of the bearings - just a spacer tube. Drif...

Re: New member in New Zealand

Hi Stephenonz. Triking is marooned in my garage in Titahi Bay during lockdown but hoping we emerge in time to enjoy more of the lovely autumn weather.

Cheers

Re: Back to Dellorto carbs 2nd go

I should have posted long ago my thanks to Archie for his suggestion. It transpired that the fuel starvation (at touring speeds) was cured by replacing the fuel pump and filter, and the ‘fuel surge’ leading to cutting out when cornering hard was resolved by fitting a return line downstream of the pu...

Rear wheel bearings - car type wheel

The NZ Triking has been on the road since August and has now done about 12,000 km, daily drive if the weather is kind. The rear wheel is the car type supplied by Alan, using the donor guzzi cush drive rubbers etc and spacer tube. Alerted by a clunk from the rear end, I found that I had run the rear ...

Re: Back to Dellorto carbs 2nd go

Hi Westendguzzi I have phf36s on my 1100 California powered Type 3. This is a recently built car, and the one 'fettling' issue I have not yet resolved is fuel delivery. The carburettors as removed from the donor bike had 270 float valve and needle (paperwork I have seen indicates 300?) and I have a ...
