DOT 3 or 4

My clutch m/c reservoir (from 08 donor) is stamped DOT 4 as is the brake and clutch reservoir caps as specc’d (4 or 5.1) in the guzzi manual. So my front calipers have known DOT4 all their life. However the T4 kit m/c caps are stamped DOT 3. Since I know not to switch unless components are pristine,...

Underside center cowl protrusion

Guessing this is to mount a wiper mechanism and could be trimmed back if not used?
Or maybe keep for a place to mount electrical components.

Re: Need Advice

If they have categories for motorcycles, you may consider entering it in the custom/specialty construction class. Each year down here at the Carmel Quail Motorcycle Gathering one or two Morgan 3 wheelers will show on the field, usually with a crowd around.

Build cradle

Was asked about mine, here’s what I did... Wheels are critical, don't cheap out...they need to be big enough to roll over garage floor irregularities AND support at least 25% of the 900lbs-ish / 408kg finished weight. You will need to have some 1 x _ blocking incorporated or standing by to suspend t...

I'm building chassis number 11 here in northern california and photo documenting every step of the progress in a facebook photo album. Currently about 2/3 the way through my assembly...wiring and body fit and finishing yet to go. You might be able to avoid my screw ups as well as consider applying s...

Re: Rust

Some powdercoaters offer a high temp ceramic coating in different metallics. The one I use has a “near chrome” that can be buffed to look like polished nickel. I’ve had it done on headers, cylinders, cylinder heads and even a commando fuel tank. Not cheap. Big plus on headers it insulates Very effec...

coil mount for 2-valve 1200 motor

going for compactness and the desire to keep my coil wires short (and the stock lengths) I came up with this simple mount out of .125 aluminum that screws to the min. engine bracket in turn supported by the FI throttle body crosspiece. The whole assembly is then supported by a rubber-footed aluminum...
