Re: Keep the Forum Going.
Hi, 1985 Series one. I am restoring an MGB (1975) and belong to MGExperience forum. This is a very busy forum with many members and a very long history. Re: Some interesting 3 wheelers
Yep,
Lift bonnet to kick start, starter never worked. I had never seen a car with so much lock to lock, it would turn around in its own length. Fun but totally impractical, but who cares at 17 years old.
I guess your mum found out all about bump steer lol

Re: Some interesting 3 wheelers
When an apprentice I had a Bond mark C or D (forget which) with Villiers engine mounted on front wheel. That experience convinced me 2 wheels at the front not 1.
Since have owned a Can-Am Spyder and a Polaris Slingshot. Both were great, but my Triking outlasts them all.

Re: What's a Type 1 gearchange like?
I fitted my type 1 linkage with rose joints and bronze bushes in all the pivots. Made a new vertical link to gearbox. The change is silky smooth. Did have a minor problem with gear change becoming stiff when getting hot in slow moving traffic, but this turned out to be a little too tight shimming of...

Re: Anormal tyre wear
Hi,
I think the photo attached.
Left side of tire worn more than right, as looking from rear.
Readjusted swing arm bearings to day, but really did not need.
