Definitely not recommended, but if you are desperate (maybe on the railroad tracks and the train is coming ;) ) you can do what I did in my Fiat Spyder when the clutch went out and you need to get going from a dead stop - engage 2nd or 3rd gear and then use the starter to get you up to speed (not su...

Managed to get a photo "in the gap" - I think I jumped to conclusions, and it looks like what I was feeling wasn't the pads, but maybe the cover over the pads ? Net result is that I think everything is OK, and I was just being overly cautious as far as "mind the gap" is concerned. Thanks Tony for yo...

Does seem weird to me - I checked with Alan, and he says it looks normal - I'll ask him about being able to touch the pads , though........
