Re: Black and silver number plates

The answer is to carry modern ones under the carpet, and put them on at the roadside if stopped. The law states that if the offence is to be dealt with by way of VDRS (Vehicle defect rectification scheme) which the vast majority of similar offences are, no further action will be taken if the fault i...

Re: Resonance patch

SteveO Hi Steve, I had considered a fold on both sides, but as you say it would be awkward on the prop shaft side because (on mine anyway) the top plate overlaps the vertical plate by about 1cm. I decided that a flat plate fully welded at each bulkhead and tacked along both sides would be more than ...

Re: Resonance patch

SteveO Hi Steve, I gave the precise dimensions to a local engineering company, who used their laser cutters to do the job for only 18 of our English pounds. The plate also provides a stronger mounting surface for the prop shaft cover. I would happily give you the dimensions, but not sure if MY plate...

Re: Resonance patch

Hi, My car is a series 1 of 1982 vintage, no reverse. I have bored many a Triking owner with tales of transmission / drive train vibration. After replacing the gearbox output bearing, both UJ's, both bulkhead bearings, the centre propshaft bearing, had the final drive rebuilt with new crown wheel be...

We are at the top of the map 17B

Locations not negotiable this year, at least we are some distance from the Westfield Experience.

Re: Stoneleigh National Kit Car Show Aug 28th 29th

Hi All,
Still waiting to hear where our plot will be this year, I'm keen that it shouldn't be anywhere near the Westfield driving experience !

Can those intending to attend let me know asap, this may give us some flexibility.

Regards,

Andy.

Re: Fuel sender unit Type 1

Hi All, I have looked at Smiths part number TBS1515005 which appears similar and is a vertical mount, but doesn't have a fuel delivery pipe. I could probably modify one to fit. I will probably end up blanking the existing sender hole and fitting a vertical sliding float type on the top of the tank. ...

Hi All,
I'm trying to identify the sender unit as fitted to my Type 1. I have contacted Rimmer Bros, they say it isn't a Triumph one.
Any ideas welcomed.

Many thanks,
Andy.

Re: Stoneleigh National Kit Car Show Aug 28th 29th

Hi All again, I have submitted a Club Stand application for 10 cars. Not sure where our plot will be having received the following email ..... Dear Clubs, After our meeting at Stoneleigh yesterday we have a lot of big changes to implement for this year. As all of the blocks after the main gate are c...
