Thanks for listing this Paul, we certainly enjoyed the day. The drive, the meal and the huge variety of old bikes and trikes!
Good to see you again too.
Cheers
Andy

Exhaust tape?
I like the vintage look of exhaust tape but hear it is very difficult to get it looking good and can cause issues. Especially like the white tape but suspect it doesn't stay white for long!
Anyone had any experience, positive or negative on this subject?
Thanks

Starting technique?
Now finished most of the cosmetic improvements and done a full service with all oils, filters, plugs etc replaced. Thanks to Paul in helping with tracking and camber, all front end set up too! I still struggle to start it cold if left for more than a few days. Is there a technique to start an 1100 E...

Caster
The brief manual I have is clear on camber and tracking but it specifies a starting caster setting of 7 degrees but doesn't say if this is positive or negative caster.
Also my chassis is lower on the driver's side. I assume the only way to adjust this is shock tension?
Help please.....

Re: Oils etc
No, leaks stopped with PTFE tape!!!!!
I don't want to take it out till I have all the stuff to do the oil change. Alan sent a few used washers with my last order of bits but they look too big.

Jacking points?
For the next phase of work I need the car higher up so want to put it on four axle stands.
Proposing to use the front chassis members just behind the exhaust and at the back use the two beams that run under the floor pan - are they strong enough or are there better points to use.
Thanks
Andy

Gearbox oil filler point?
Looking at the Guzzi workshop manual and the Triking manual I was helpfully sent, the gearbox has a bolt to check the level, a drain bolt under the box and a filler bolt. Mine has a rubber plug for the filler I think. It looks to be in the right place but just want to be sure. Photo attached. Thanks...

Re: Oils etc
Thanks all!
All stuff ordered ready except I want to put new crush washers on the sump plugs. Can't find anywhere what size they are. Told M10, but looks much bigger to me Any ideas on a California injected 1999?

Oils etc
Sorry, me again! Almost finished the long list of cosmetic repairs and improvements so on to the mechanical..... Staring with a general service. Whilst the car has only done 1000 miles since build and oils look very clean, I am assuming the 2 previous owners have not changed anything so will start f...
