Re: DVLA forms HELP!

Good afternoon, I registered a T4 last year, built by Alan/Mark/Triking. Attached (hopefully) is the letter I sent the DVLA which contains a list of the various documents you need to send them. I've also added some help notes in red. As I've noted in the letter, they only allow one "used" item, norm...

Re: Stelvio 8v stalling when idling

Thanks everyone for the comments. The issue (thanks to Mark and Alan at Triking for the diagnosis) was more straightforward than thought, and was a split in the Stelvio RH spark plug cap which is made from rubber. It was the original made in 2009. New 90 degree caps and integrated leads can't be use...

Stelvio 8v stalling when idling

The Stelvio 8v power unit in my Triking runs well as soon as it's on the move, the engine runs smoothly, no surging, dropping, nothing like that. Basically, the car pulls very well once on the go. However, as soon as the rev's drop to below about 1800 rpm (for example when stopping or when manoeuvri...

Re: Windscreen washers

If anyone was interested, attached photo shows screen washer fitted to T4. Works reasonably well and the washer design allows lots of adjustment to the jets. Thanks Tony for the idea.

Re: Gear oil specs

Thanks both, very helpful. Just getting prepared for first service, hence the request.
I drove tractors for years (first one was a Fordson Major, indestructible) and yes, the Guzzi box is like them.

Gear oil specs

Which oil do UK owners use for gearbox, reverse box and differential?. Gutsibits say fully synthetic 80W 90 should be used but I haven't found any in the UK (and Gutsibits don't stock it)
Thanks

Re: Windscreen washers

Thanks for the tips. I was thinking of using "on arm" washers but the ones slightly angled under the wiper arm look a good solution. Fortunately I have nearly 3 years until the first MOT!

Windscreen washers

For those who have wipers fitted to your Triking:

Do you also fit washers? I can't see any obvious ones fitted in the various photos

If not, how do you manage the annual UK MOT?

Thanks

Re: Engine temp difference

This how I do it: Put in first gear – keep clutch in Move into reverse whilst just letting the clutch bite – you will feel it going into gear The same method is used to put back into forward The reverse gear box is very simple – they are straight cut or “dog” gears, which are very strong. Gears in m...

Re: Registering a Trking for First Time - Insurance requirements
