Hi Andy,
That fuse has blown for a reason. I had the same on my bike and the failed reg/reg took out the ECU! As they're so easy to check, I'd disconnect everything from the reg/reg and check the diodes and output voltage to make sure you don't fry any of the electrics.

Re: Seat belts
I assume it's very similar to the type 2/3 cars? If so, this is a forum post that is the same way I've done it: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=254&p=1687#p1687

Re: Removing PU adhesive
Hi Tony, Thanks for the suggestion. Once I got the plate off I was surprised at how 'rubbery' the adhesive was - not what I expected at all. I used a sharp scraper instead of a chisel (my son has most of my tools!) to slice off the bulk of the adhesive followed by lashings of white spirit and elbow ...

Removing PU adhesive
Hi All, I have bonded my chassis plate to the chassis with PU adhesive and have found that I haven't left enough clearance for the seat belt reel. Obviously I can put the seatbelt reel somewhere else but I'd rather not if possible. Therefore I need to remove the chassis plate... I think a cheese wir...

Re: Tyres
Assuming you can get a car tyre that would fit your swing arm, would it be possible to get the hub from your existing wheel rebuilt with a car rim? I've no idea if it's economically viable, but perhaps the two companies might be a reasonable place to start? https://turrinowheels.com/ http://pjhallew...

Re: Car search
According to the DVLA that number has not been taxed since 1996. I'm not sure when the SORN requirements were introduced, but as it's not on SORN I guess the likelihood is that it has been exported?

Re: Cost of painting...
Hi All,
Thanks for your comments, it looks like the body shops I've approached so far are rather on the high side. Unfortunately I really don't have the knowledge or skill to do much of the preparation so I'll just have to look for someone who does want the work...

Cost of painting...
Hi All, I'm curious what people are paying to get their cars painted: I've had a couple of quotes that are considerably higher than I expected and I don't know if they are reasonable or 'I really don't want to do it 'prices...Am I completely out of touch with reality or is 5K+ really the going rate?...

Re: Reverse gearbox breeder nipple
An alternative for the time-poor is a motorcycle rear brake fluid reservoir.
