Re: 8V1200 roller tappets

Further to my postulation regarding over-cooling. It occurred to me that a Triking is much more likely to be stuck in traffic than a motorcycle. Therefore the "excessive" finning might be the very thing required. I have myself have been quite concerned by the way I am looking over the bonnet at the ...

Re: 8V1200 roller tappets

I have it from several sources that the oil pump should be changed whenever a roller conversion has shown tapped wear. It had been found that the very fine metal particles could increase the clearance between the pump gears and so reducing the oil flow. Still made more than 5psi which keeps the oil ...

Well done that Man.
It wouldn't be so bad if the superb Tee-shirts advertised ( its ALWAYS Tee-shirts ) actually existed to buy. I have seen some really great ones on Facebook, but of course they are all scammers.

Re: Starter cable size

Oh yes, also if you are using battery clamps for a round post battery, the 2 screws that go down onto the copper strands are rubbish. They miss one third of them, cut the next third and grip the remainder. Again I would solder them into a chunk that the screws can dig into or "whip" the strands with...

Re: Starter cable size

I would only add to this, use the multistrand as in your link - don't be tempted to use 240v with 7 or 12 strands, remember you will have to bend this cable so don't go mad with the size. Use proper lugs properly compression crimped, solder if possible is good too but it is hard not to damage the in...
