Re: Old TopGear - Triking
This vehicle doesn't appear in either of the owners lists I have from 1990 and 94.

Link - doesn't.Alanla wrote: ↑Mon Feb 10, 2020 8:46 pmHi,
The std Guzzi cable is way too short for a Triking, All Triking tacho cables are purpose made, The latest version has a re-enforcement around the weak area where they are prone to wear . http://shop.trikingsportscars.co.uk/pro ... ble-thing/

Re: Tacho cable
Mine is removed and in a cardboard box in the shed. I’ll take a look later. I believe my one would be the original Guzzi 850 LM 2 but I’ll check.

Hi WEG,
Do you still have the moulds? My guards were heavily modified and it would be good to start from scratch.
I would be interested in this possible solution.

Re: Front discs.
Hi Axel, Excellent. I may take you up on that. Would you like to PM me with the price you would be looking for? Alan thinks he “may” have a spare one floating about and I’m going to phone him on Monday for a general chat as well as the rotor. I know one should really change them both however there w...

Re: Front discs.
Thanks Paul. These are Triking kit supplied ones - not sure of oem. Guzzi ones have a bevel on the outer lip which is a wear indicator - I think. Not sure if the ones supplied by Tony D back in the late ‘80s had that. Should hopefully be in a position to check later today. Beginning to enjoy the re-...

Front discs.
Due to the ravages of time and humidity my original discs probably need skimmed for the rebuild. Does anyone know the minimum tolerances allowable for this exercise? I’m going to remove them to clean / inspect and micrometer them in due course.
TIA.

Re: Electronic timing.
Many thanks. The Guzzi club forum and Facebook page occasionally makes mention of those. I maybe need two. My V50 has the old Bosch ei system which is possibly coming to the end of its life. I’ll wire up the Rita initially to see if it still works first.
