Re: Brake bleeding spring maintenance

If you have a compressor then a vacuum bleeder is the answer. No messing about with the brake pedal and simple single handed operation. Various makes available on line but probably all just as effective.

Three wheelers in Ingleton

I friend of mine sent me this picture of three wheelers in Ingleton

Re: Engine temp difference

My experience with the reverse gearbox is to not attempt a change unless the car is actually slowly moving forwards or backwards. I try to preempt which way I next want to go before parking and switching off. Hope this helps.

What a difference! We’ll done westendguzzi. I should have paid more attention to physics while at school.

Re: Type 3 smooth tail - rear lights

Another point. When I had completed my Triking to the stage where it was ready for the test I borrowed a flat bed trailer and took it down to Alan for him to check over and take it for it’s test on my behalf. He added in a secondary ignition switch that I didn’t know was necessary but also had doubt...

Re: Type 3 smooth tail - rear lights

Being useless at modern technology I can’t directly paste a link to the lights but if you search on eBay for “chrome Steele triple action motorcycle motorbike LED” they come up. Two left apparently. I can’t remember where I bought the stop/tail lamp from but again if you search eBay for “motorcycle ...

Re: Type 3 smooth tail - rear lights

I bought these rear lights/stop lights/indicators on eBay for about £23. I don’t think that they are E marked but no problem getting through the test. I just trapped a wedge under a large washer inside the rear moulding to achieve the right angle. Should you be interested I can send you a link if yo...

Re: Caster angles???

Further to the above I don’t think that it can be assumed that the geometry is equal on both sides from new, it certainly wasn’t with mine. This has now been overcome with adjustable wishbones supplied by Alan but the adjustments and shims needed are considerably different on each side to achieve eq...

Re: Caster angles???

I had exactly the same problem when I built my type 3. I spaced the shims equally front and back not really realising their importance. Like you the handling was fine up to about 60mph, after that if I hiccoughed it would go to the other side of the road. On investigation I found one side to be 0 de...
