Re: New Triking owner, advise needed please.
First of all, the fuel pipes have perished, the rubber pipe runs from the the carbs through a bulkhead into the centre tunnel up to the electric pump situated near the back of the tunnel. Is there a way to get into the tunnel, to pull the new pipe through, would you replace the rubber pipe with a m...

Triking Type 1 (1987) project for sale - 3000 euros
Greetings, Quite a while back, I started work on my father's Triking Type 1, which had been sitting "for a while" (15 years or so). To make a rather long story short, I believe I will be unable to finish it. (I was naive, to put it mildly. I think it's best for the car to get a new owner who can tak...

Soft Top / Hood
Greetings, I have a soft top for my Triking Type 1, which I can't test at the moment. But since I'm planning on daily driving my Type 1, I was wondering how well it works. (If there are multiple versions, mine has 2 metal loops which can turn around a vertical one put into a chrome piece. It also ha...

Re: Fuel Tank Capacity
I tested the fuel sender on my Type 1 with water, it's pretty accurate. (The thank had to be derusted anyway)
Also it could be on purpose that it reports too little fuel. Rather have to stop for fuel too early, then have to push too late.

Re: Reverse Gearbox Type 1
On a lighter note. I have a collapsible walking stick I inherited from my late mother in-law. I could lean slightly out of the car and push it backwards on flat ground with little effort. Collapse it and it would go under my legs in front of seat. On the rare occasion I need to back up I just get o...

Reverse Gearbox Type 1
Good morning, I am currently in the proces of restoring a ~1985 Triking Type 1, with a Guzzi gearbox. I was reading on the forums that the reversing gearbox (the one currently for sale on the website) can be put on a Type 1, requiring "Chassis Alterations" or according to one fellow "would enter the...

Screws
Hi, so i've run into a problem. The weather wasn't the best for last months, so i couldn't do much. But now the sun has show herself! And i tried to get the rear of with those 4 screws behind the seats (to replace the dead battery). But the driverside-lower screw keeps turning but won't come out. I ...

Re: Rust
Richard and Pat, it's mostly on the side pipes. It's mostly surface rust except on the end of the pipes.
